Most wiki software allows users to (optionally) fill in a summary of their page edit. This short text then appears on the RecentChanges, and page version histories, making this a much more useful Meatball:AuditTrail.
Without this feature a wiki doesn't set the scene for proper Meatball:PeerReview of edits, and AntiSpamUserSolution cannot work so well i.e. it is very difficult for a user to despam a wiki, since they can't get any idea of when the latest legitimate edit ocurred on a page.
TWiki, Wakka, FlexWiki, and PmWiki engines seem to have this problem.
An even more basic wiki feature is VersionHistory (which really is essential)
